Well with the new cards released, no doubt quite a few of us have emptied our pockets, myself included, and i await my shiny new Palit GTX275.

Benchies will be at 1920x1200, and fingers crossed, the card will roll in tomorrow. Upgrading from a 4850 1gb which was no slouch and not really a necessary upgrade but its always hard to resist :)

If anyone picks one up today then please lets see what you can get out of it!

Credit to Nvidia for be able to squeeze a card performance wise in between the already amazingly close GTX 260-216 and the GTX 280. This card is purely for people who look a graphs more than play games...

Back on topic, will be interesting to see how it clocks, don't think it will be quite as good as a 260 for clocking (more cores, more heat) but some what better than a 280/285.

To be fair, when i get a new card, i bench it to make sure its running properly, and then never bench again, it seemed to me to be a sweet spot in price vs performance.

Yes, which means nothing. For example, people with a 4870 can get lower 3D Mark 2k6 scores than someone with a 8800GTS for example, despite the 4870 being an overall better performer in 95% of games. Theres no real pattern or correlation between GPUs and the score on this benchmark, hence 3D mark Vantage.

It means something to me, using the same hardware ive seen a 25%+ increase from upgrading, it dosent mean nothing at all.

Its a one sided argument, you're obviously happy that you have a better card, in which I have no doubt about. But proving it through 3DM 2k6 means nothing, regardless if you are using the same hardware. You only make it mean something to you because a) its increased and b) self reassurance of your purchase in any form possible.

It does prove that its more than 25% faster in 3dmark, of that there is no doubt :P

Ive been playing The Last Remnant, the difference is night and day in this also.
