The Handshake...

In Asia and the Middle East let me slide this kipper in and out of your hand as fast as possible.

lol. Interesting turn of phrase. In the immortal words of Ace Rimmer, smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast.

I find that women almost universally have a very gentle handshake. It's only men that try to crush your knuckles. Clearly some BS macho thing going on.

Unwashed hands aside, a weak handshake feels more like somebody wants to hold hands than a proper greeting.

Have you ever told a friend/relative that they've got a weak handshake - and if so, how did you go about broaching the subject?

Weak handshake, weak person.

Personally i find the over the top "look at me I go to the gym and I have just broken every bone in your hand" handshake just makes me think the person is a tool and I take an instant dislike to them.

Firm and solid is fine.

In some cultures a firm handshake is seen as aggressive or threatening. Personally, I think a handshake is a daft way to assess someone.

Grip the weak ones until their eyes start to dilate. It's the only way. :p

Nothing worse than someone trying to crush your hand! In my previous work we had a colleague that did that (to the whole office on his first day) and it was somewhat hilarious /annoying.

I also dislike overly limp handshakes. I also dislike the hand crusher. A firm but not overly hard handshake leaves a good impression that someone is strong of character but not overly aggressive. Obviously this varies between cultures.

Floppy handshakes are weird but so are the losers who attempt to crush your hand. If you feel you have to prove your dominance over another man with a handshake you're in a sorry and sad place. Get yourself down to a boxing/MMA gym if you're so 'Apha' otherwise jog on.

its the overly strong handshakes that annoy me - they often turn out to be over confident arrogant morons ;)

Bingo, just experienced this recently, new person I was introduced to in work two days ago, overly strong handshake and turns out to be super over confident, yesterday he actually said "I don't mind being told what to but don't tell me stuff I already know," ok mate but your new here were not bloody mind reader's.

I don't shake anyone's hands, do you know why??

Because every single males hand has had a penis in it....so yeh think about that :p

Joking aside I don't judge people on their handshakes, honestly never even crossed my mind tbh.
