I saw my boy today for the first time in 6 months or so (he lives a long way away now).

He's been much happier in the last year, which makes me happier. Two years ago I was very worried about him, and stupid choices he was making, but he's "grown up" a lot in the last few years.

We can actually have a decent conversation now, which is good.

Just had a nice meal at a curry restaurant with my 2 young adult engineer daughters. It was pleasant as one has come visiting from interstate for Xmas.

A shame he lives so far away but glad to hear things have improved and looking good.

Well done, better to loose it gradually over the year than loose it in 3 months and look at a burger wrong and put it back on!
