What with all the horrible news lately, I thought it might be nice to have a thread dedicated to good news. Personal, and otherwise. The thread will probably bomb and die, but hey.

I'll start with the news that I passed my driving theory test today, 48 on the multiple choice and 66 on the hazard theory. Well chuffed.

I am happy that my 4870x2 hasn't yet killed itself, despite a worrying moment just now when both my monitors went black and wouldn't display anything for 10mins during a driver update.
Quick reboot (as quick as it can be with initialising 3 raid arrays) and all is well.

My 12 year old has jumped from being in the bottom Maths class to being moved up five sets for next year since being diagnosed with a form of dyslexia at the beginning of the year and getting the specialist help he needed.

also got 2 filming days thursday and friday and then going to paris in the evening for couple days

Aye, the wife and I are pretty stoked, as well as the Maths he is also significantly improved in everything else, especially English and Science.

New School which saw straight away there was a problem where the old school simply ignored it.
