The Helium Ghost

So I'm sat down watching match of the day two, and he 3 helium balloons we picked up for our little one drop from the ceiling slightly. They then proceed to move across the room to the staircase avoiding contact with any objects or Walls.

I get up to have a look up he stairs and they're gone, so I jog up the stairs to watch them dip a good foot under our sons bedroom door. They're now just sat halfway off the floor in his room having manoeuvred themselves perfectly through our house.

I best not wake up tonight with balloons in my room

I don't know if I'm over reacting, but I've made sure I've got an elephant gun beside me in bed now. Those damn balloons are still just sat there looking at me

I heard that helium balloons inflate/deflate depending on room temperature

I do tend to keep the walk to the bedroom a smidgen cooler than all other areas of the house

To be fair, I'm sure you're right it's just the manner of it was so odd

Ask your son in the morning if he was dreaming of balloons. It would be so weird if he says yes.

He's only 6 months old so if he replied I would move out

I wonder if killing a balloon makes me a bad person

Looks like we are all in various pats of his house.

Just don't wake he missus up. The balloons will be the least of my worries when she tears me a new one

Dammit. I've just been trying to calculate the odds of me dying tonight from a balloon related injury and I've just remembered I also have the loft hatch in my room
. I might stick a cheeky bet on me not dying tonight

I don't feel dead. I must have made it through the night
