The hidden gems

I love my point'n'clicks/adventure especially Borken Sword / Monkey Island games.

As to hidden gems I dunno as I tend to like games that everyone else likes alos :) Hoever, the game Still Life sticks in my mind. Very good story - shame about the ending though.

Longest Journey is good aint it :)

I knew I recognised you from!
I am gobsmacked that I can be remembered from a game some five and a half years ago, maybe even six years ago for the beta that made me give up on it :p
Anyway I do agree the netcode was shocking, but what do you expect from EA it was rushed out and not supported.

However the game itself was just brilliant!!!
The game was a great idea, the customisation for weapons was a really nice touch, but no game is worth playing when the netcode is so bad the game doesn't even seem to know you've clicked to shoot.

Very occasionally you'd get lucky and land on a good server (read: one time in my entire beta testing) and whilst I had endless fun, I refused to buy a game to get one good experience every two weeks of gaming :p
whilst like all games in this thread that game isnt hidden or rare, I enjoyed it. I also bought the bugged version on steam :(
Some of these have been hidden, or at the very least heavily underrated. Even kreee's starcraft mention has some merit when you consider most of the player base today is in Eastern Asia and Europe seems to overlook it now.
KKND was fun and looked pretty nice but totally lacked balance....if all you built was snipers then the enemy had no chance.
I agree with you there, but some obscene games could be had if you limit the tech level to essentially zero :p
