Seriously considering pulling the trigger on this.

Using a Samsung CRG9 5120x1440 48" at the moment and love the real estate, but I don't game at my desk anymore, and am switching over to Mac. I mostly do 4k video editing and coding, and not having 1:1 ability to view my videos is a PITA....also the PPI looks terrible on Mac OS.

It's only been released recently. LG panel, glossy finish. Slightly higher res than the Apple Pro Display XDR. Obvious rip off of the Apple design and finish.

£1400 shipped to the UK. Note the official distributor is mainly a distributor of custom mechanical keyboards....beware of scams knocking about.

Changed to a general 6K thread. Apparently the Asus 6k is shipping late August, no word on pricing yet though.

I would prefer the glossy panel and finish of the kuycon, but buying from UK would be safer. Price is going to be key.

Also the LG https://ifdesign.com/en/winner-ranking/project/lg-ultrafine-6k-monitor32u990a/701718 but that is MIA at the moment.

The Dell https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/del...kba/apd/210-bhnx/monitors-monitor-accessories has some weird-ass webcam on top and is a couple years old already, and is over-priced.

The Asus is RRP $1299 but no sign of UK pricing yet.

Curve-ball option is the BenQ 5k 27" which hits 218ppi https://www.benq.eu/en-uk/monitor/professional/pd2730s.html £999 best UK price mind, and I'd want two.

Make that £6,448 if you want the nano-texture coating and a stand :p

The £1400 Kuycon is still pretty tempting. A little torn as to whether I'd want just one 32" 6k, or maybe a pair of 5k 27" would be better.

Only concern with the Kuyon is, who's selling it and what's support going to be like on say a dead pixel or other such issue down the line?

It's a (from what I understand) pretty reputable importer of mechanical, keyboards, prob can't like due to competition rules.

But yes, that's the issue. You need to ship back to China for returns if there are issues.

The build quality looks a cut above any of the Asus/Dell/LG models, short only of the Apple ones.

Think I'm going to wait and see reviews of the Asus and LG offerings before I pull the trigger.

First proper review of the Asus PA32QCV that I've seen.

Looks decent. Not as nicely finished as the Kuycon, but functional. Nice that is has physical buttons on the front, praise the lord.

No sign of a UK price tag yet. RRP is $1299 excluding taxes. Got a feeling it's going to land around the same as the Kuycon (£1400).
