Its intentional + very effective and lasts for all of the 25-30 secs you need to walk a little further into the level as your character is recovering from something which just happened to him. Dark Sector uses DOF very well for the backgrounds only apart from a few sections like this where its used to convey your health.

You guys keep complaining about resized images and crap, I was thinking about setting up an image host website that would only work for ocuk forums, anyone interested?

Would allow you to generate thumbnails and also resize images to whatever size you want, if you wanted.
