As some of you know, I purchased an ice cream maker towards the end of he summer last year. Made a few flavours and it was not used during the winter. Now the weather is getting warmer (albeit slowly), I shall be making some more. This is where you come in.

You pick a flavour, I'll make it. Will take photos and if you live close enough, welcome to come and eat some lol

So far I have tried (from the norm to wacky)

Raspberry, cherry frozen yogurt
Plain vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate pieces
Plain chocolate ice cream
Chocolate ice cream with dark chocolate pieces
Banana ice cream with hazelnut and dark chocolate pieces (ala chunky monkey)
Strawberry ice cream with meringue
Mint choc chunk (instead of chip :p)
Chocolate ice cream with Belgium chocolate brownie
Peanut butter
Peanut butter and raspberry jam ripple
Peanut butter with chocolate layers (vienetta style)

Those above are what I've done so far. A few to come next week are

Pineapple ice cream with cashew and dark chocolate chunks
Vanilla ice cream with Jaffa cake
Chocolate ice cream with mashmellows, caramel swirl and white chocolate chunks

So, as you can see, I like to experiment so feel free to list a flavour, I might pick it and will make it and show you guys!

Banoffee pie

Banana flavoured icecream + toffee ripple + cookie crumbs

Well you have tried mint choc chunk, what about playing on that a bit? try it with bits of chocolate brownie in it, or a mixture of dark, milk and white chocolate?
Either that or try things like Baileys and whatever kind of chocolate you prefer.

Aztec ice cream. You know the spicy, chilli infused hot choclate. That in ice cream form.

Vanilla ice cream, maple syrup swirl and Belgian waffles the crusty sugary ones.

Something that emulates a Topic bar. So I guess that would be some kind of nuts, nougat, cherries (am I imagining those?). Could be quite tasty :)

I got a ice cream maker at Christmas. Made quite a few flavors so far but the best would have to be brown bread or butter pecan.

Millionaire short bread with sticky toffee mouse was quite good too

Oh, and apple and cinnamon crumble.

Thanks guys, that's a lot of flavours to think about! The banana toffee pie stands out for me ATM, going to try that definitely! And keep it coming!

What ice cream makers would you guys recommend? upto £100 or so?:)

there are basically 2 kinds of machines.

1 - freeze bowl

These has a motor built in but has a removable bowl that has a gel wall in the bowl. You need to pre freeze the bowl over night before making your ice cream, anything under £100 will be this. Pros are that it is cheap, it is small and you can get quite big ones. Cons are that you can only use it once and have to refreeze the bowl and need space in freezer for the bowl.

2 - built in compressor

These are more expensive, you plug it in and it cools a bowl built in. No pre freeze necessarym can use within 10 min of turning it on. My Gaggia is one such type. I have once threw in a cup of latte and it turned it into coffee sobert!

Pros are that you can make loads in 1 go, it's fast and no need to pre freeze.

Cons are it is big and heavy so need worktop space for it, you also can't use it if you move it, not for 24 hours due to the compressor and the coolant.
