It's crazy! I'm genuinely tempted to sell mine for well over RRP just because of the demand. They are going for over £1k on eBay for the 128GB model. I could sell it for that and just buy another one for £820 and wait for it to arrive :)

Just be careful, if you do eBay will have most of that "profit" in fees, and I'm not even kidding, it'd be over £100

Really? Tempted to list mine in which case and live with an SE or something for the moment.

Yeah, had a look this morning, said it was trending at like £1025 or something. Didn't have time to dig any deeper and see if that means that's what they are selling at, but I assume that's what it means.

I don't really care when I get my 7 plus, so if I can make a couple of hundred quick just by waiting a few weeks then why not lol

Yeah sorry to kill the fun, got bitten by this before, ebay and paypal fees are insane.

The way I view it is thats £67 and for that I run the risk of it being lost in the post or finding a chancer (there's a LOT of them out there) who says they've not had it delivered or it doesn't work or whatever and ebay/paypal ALWAYS side with the buyer, like 10000% of the time.

Friend of mine sold a brand new phone, buyer had it for about 3 weeks then said it wouldn't charge, ebay ruled in the buyers favour and he sent it back for a refund, handset scratched to bits and the charger not even opened.

That's just one example, I've been forced to refund because "it get a bit hot" before now (no it wasn't a Note 7) or "screen seems a bit faint" all just total and utter nonsense at which point you've made next to nothing and have a properly second hand phone.

Selling on ebay just isn't worth it unless you have a proper margin or you're clearing our and don't care what you get for whatever you're selling.

Reserved an IP7+ 128GB Matte Black this morning at Regent Street, collected two hours later. Iphonestockbot ftw - it's a script that notifies you of stock of specified models.

I wound up on a tube sat next to a jet black 7 AND jet black 7 plus this morning.. riding the tube with unicorns lol!

Got to say they looked lovely, neither had a case.

Managed to bag a black 7+ today.. Very cool it is.. was worried about going to the plus but I'll get used to the size

What are peoples thoughts on screen protectors? Not bothered about scratches but I smashed the screen on my last phone and heard it would help protect against this.

I bought the Belkin one at the Apple Store and had them fit it. It's a great protector when used with the apple leather case, although I've yet to try it in anger!

Never used one, never will. I use the Apple cases and have dropped my phone on concrete from waist height numerous times and never broken a screen or marked one.

First 6 I had I dropped it once without a case and smashed the screen.

Analysis Santa may have any empty sack this Christmas, crushing the dreams of fanbois (and fanfilles). Apple admitted yesterday it was unable to meet the demand for its iPhone 7.

Six weeks after the launch, Apple’s own online store is still showing long delays for several configurations of the iPhone 7. These will continue into December, meaning Apple can’t capitalise on the dismay with Samsung, which has had to recall 7 million million flagship phablets for safety reasons.

“As we get into the December quarter, we are not in supply-demand balance, so it is very difficult to tell what impact this Samsung issue will have on us,” Apple CFO Luca Maestri told analysts.

“Demand continues to outstrip supply, but we're working very hard to get them into customers' hands as quickly as possible,” CEO Tim Cook confirmed.

The shortage hits the Plus hard. It's essentially the most direct competitor to the recalled Galaxy Note 7.

Apple retail staff tell us all models are available on the Store premises, as is the Apple Watch 2, but Apple’s website tells a different story. While there are no longer problems fulfilling orders for the smaller iPhone 7, all iPhone 7 Plus configurations indicated delays of “3-4 weeks”, except the scratchable Jet Black model, which shows delays of “6-8 weeks”.

Asked whether supply could match demand by the end of the financial quarter - which ends on December 31 - Cook made no promise.

“On iPhone 7 Plus, I'm not sure. I wouldn't say yes at this point, because the underlying demand looks extremely strong on both products but particularly on the iPhone 7 Plus versus our forecast going into the product launch,” he said.

Sorry, Santa.

Nor can Google capitalise on Samsung’s woes, either. Google’s on-off-maybe consumer strategy has dragged on for years, but this year seemed to coalesce around an expensive rebranding of its Nexus phones. But Google has failed to match the big budget marketing push for its new Pixel brand (some $100m according to reports) with a distribution strategy. The only operators to sell Pixels are Verizon in the USA, and EE in the UK. (Carphone Warehouse promises next day delivery, though).

“[HTC] are more constrained than Apple is,” one analyst told the FT.

“Can’t meet demand” is an ambiguous term. It may mean that demand is genuinely greater than expected. Or it may indicate supply issues, such as the shortage of a particular component. Or it may simply be a cynical way of hyping the product: maller vendors can boast of unexpectedly high demand, if they rapidly sell out a deliberately small production run.

That’s unlikely to be the case here.

Apple will still happily sell you an iPhone 6 Plus: cheaper than before, and featuring a superior home button and a standard headphone jack. ®

I've just got the Solo Beats 3 to go with my iPhone 7 Plus (I know they're not the best for sound quality), what is amazing is this:

1) Simple pairing process - just turn them on next to the iPhone.
2) Easy to swap input from my iPhone to my MacBook(s)/iMac/iPad(s).
3) RANGE! Bluetooth connections usually drop after 3-5 meters in my house, with these I've walked to the end of the garden with the iPhone in an upstairs bedroom playing a 30MB lossless cd-ripped song with no drop outs. Probably about 30m.
4) Updates are now automatic, no need for Beats Updater.

So for me, despite these not being as good as my HD650's, the ease of use and functionality make them infinitely more useful than any other wireless headphones I've used. For taking calls, when working from home, these are going to be even better.

It sounds like you're concluding the airpods that will have good sound quality?

Anyway, there's braggi, motorola verve.. in fact theres lots of people getting into fully wireless buds but I've not been impressed by any I've tried.

What's the issue with a neck wire? Longer battery, better fit, better sound and much cheaper?

reports I have read that they are sub-par for the price point, much like EarPods.

purely aesthetic reasons - hey, I own an iPhone.

What is sub par? ALL neckband style headphones?

Basically earpods I assume are pretty awful, they certainly look it.. airpods are effectively the same thing just wireless (ie not ear canal, hard plastic etc etc) and right now pretty much all the truly wireless buds are hobbled in some way either by price, connection quality, sounds quality or battery life.

I'm pretty close to the accessory industry and so so so many brands are working towards the truly wireless ideal, I've yet to experience a properly compelling solution.

At least with the connecting wire you both struggle to lose them and get a proper inline mic.

no - your question was "It sounds like you're concluding the airpods that will have good sound quality?" - I'm concluding that airpods will have sub-par sound quality.

Just bought a 7 128gig about a week ago but was looking for a decent tempered glass protector I've grabbed one off ebay for the wife's I phone 7 and it seem pretty short around the edges ? So little protection there is this normal last phones we both had were the 5 and 5c and they seems to fit really well.

Could anyone suggest any please.

Thanks.
