Aside from pure inconvenience are there any other drawbacks to using the 3.5mm adaptor that comes with the 7? Any loss of audio quality?

Some people say there's no loss of audio quality, some say there is. Personally I noticed a big drop in quality and was really unimpressed so I had to replace my nice Sennheiser headphones with a set of lightning headphones.

This is pretty neat, a an adapter so you can use a magsafe style charger on both your laptop and iphone, they have adapters for lightning and USB-C

Read the comments, was a scam and they robbed all their backers.

That sucks to hear. Might be that I don't notice it, but if I do are there actually any decent lightning in-ears out yet? They all look fairly crap on Amazon.

Eeek! Didn't see that

All the more reason to be annoyed with apple for taking the magsafe out of their laptops for no reason then. :(

Maybe they'll come up with a cross product magsafe or fully wireless chargin solution at somepoint.

Bluetooth all the way -- now that Apple has forced the issue, might as well embrace it.

Give the adapter a try, you may not notice any difference. Sound quality aside though the adapter was a pain, it made the cable a bit bulkier as my headphones had a 90 degree connector.

I bought a pair of Libratone Q Adept in-ears and am very happy with them. The sound cancelling is surprisingly good. They're expensive though, I got mine at pre-order when they were discounted.

These are what I have, they sound really good.

How is iPhone these days for multiple email accounts and instant push delivery? I last had a 4 and waiting 15 minutes for emails to come through was a pain, so when my contract was up I switched to a BlackBerry.

I use Gmail BTW

Gmail only supports push email when you use the Gmail app. Google uses a non-standard push mechanism for its email system.

How do you guys find the battery life on the 7. Contract up for renewal soon and thinking I will probably switch back to apple mainly due to form factor.

Want something 5" or below and iPhone 7 seems to be the best that I can find.

Battery life is always fantastic when new so hard to say - but I'm finding I get a days use out of it before I need to charge, this is the 7+

When I say use I mean music, videos and browsing, maybe some app gaming.

My 7+ can easily last a day. I'm at 40% currently and that's after using the bluetooth for music for 30 minutes, a 45 minute facetime call and having whatsapp web running on my desktop.

Thank you. Much appreciated.

Edit.

Well I went into the store and they said, they can replace the screen no problem. But chassis damage would be a replacement phone. As a gesture of good will they will sell me a direct replacement (no doubt a refurb) for £300.

Looks like I'll just have to dig deep. I've been back on android a few days and I already really miss iOS
