Doesn't 1334x750 and 1920x1080 LED screens seem rather poor to you guys?
And still no wireless charging.

More doesn't necessarily mean better. If your eye can't resolve it then what is the point? Also higher resolution generally results in worse other characteristics such as battery life.

Otherwise, iPhone/iPad screens generally are better overall.

Wireless charging would almost certainly increase the enclosure size or decrease the battery size. I'm happy with plugging it in still.

I miss wireless charging, it was really nice to just lay my phone on my desk and it chargers, one of the features I also missed upgrading too the 6p from my Nexus 5.

The screen is good enough most of the time, with smaller text I have a harder time making it out on my iPhone, there are things I could read on my Nexus 6p that I now have to zoom in for. However the trade off is that a 1900mha battery can last all day which is impossible if they went higher res. For the same drawback its worth it and the panel is almost as good as Samsung best OLEDs so nothing to complain about, awesome colours, viewing angles etc etc.

What Samsung has done with the wireless charging case is a great feature though, if the apple charging case didn't have that chin it could look much better and not need a lighting passthrough.

"rather poor"? Seriously, why would anyone want or need more pixels on 4.7" and 5.5" screens respectively? You can't see the pixels, what's the point in having any more. Leave off with the trolling.

Regarding wireless charging, the technology for that is still very young. It's inefficient and therefore slow. Perhaps it will come in a future release when it's quicker and doesn't take up far too much space in a phone body. I can't say it's something I've ever wanted as my phone gets plugged in overnight anyway and when I'm driving, it's in a cradle and charging as well.

I expect it will come to iPhones eventually but the technology isn't there yet.

It's the usual Feek, at a glance you won't notice it but if you really want to notice it you can :p

750p or whatever you want to call it is more than enough for a 4.7inch screen as is a 720p resolution on phones such as the Z3/5 Compact which has a 4.6inch screen. I've had no issues with either sizes if I'm honest.

Wow, a class action law suit has been filed as so many US users enrolled in the iPhone Upgrade program weren't able to order due to being forced to reserve in store, with lots of stores selling out which mean they wouldn't get a new phone on launch day.

Seems Apple has now freed up some stock and contacted all those enrolled to offer them new opportunity to reserve a phone.

Seems silly they were never allowed to just buy online for home shipping to begin with though. You'd have thought they'd all get priority to order from launch day stock as they've essentially already said a year ago that they want the latest model as soon as it comes out.

I wonder if we'll have the same issue over here next year after the first year of the UK Upgrade Program ends

WE ARE AMERICANNESS SUE SUE SUE SUE.

Now in all seriousness, they only said you would be eligible to upgrade after 6 months and after paying 12 monthly payments. They never made any guarantees towards stock allocation or new device delivery date.

My saddle brown case arrived this morning & had a email from O2 telling my black 128gb 7 is in store ready for pickup on Friday, working from home that day too :)

Cheers all

I do think its bad faith to make it more difficult for your most loyal customers to get the iPhone. A lot of the reports showed that even at launch there was 0 stock for them, were as I someone who buys sim free had no issue.

Trolling? It was just an observation that is all, and on a forum such as this I thought tech spec's would matter?

And you can absolutely tell the difference between 1080p and 1440p on a 5.5" screen?

The 'retina' distance (i.e. the distance at which the eye can't resolve individual pixels) for a 1080p 5.5" screen is around 9 inches. No one routinely uses a phone anywhere near that close to their face.

Exactly this. Enable your most loyal fans to get a hold of the latest phone through whichever channel they wish (ship to home or ship to store), then let them be your ambassadors singing the new products praises when they receive it all excited.

The alternative is them spreading a bunch of negativity and frustration vocally around the internet when they can't get stock allocation for something they've effectively already committed to buying by being part of the upgrade program.

Was all set to get the 128gb Plus, but having second thoughts due to recent strain while using my current 6 Plus, so thinking of getting the same size but the regular 7 instead.

now now you should know you can't question an Apple product. Obviously if Apple had higher resolution screens then it would be the must have you won't believe your eyes etc etc.

You all know its true :p

Phone looks good, nothing new that blows my mind although the OS camera is a nice touch.
