All this chat about wireless charging adding to much thickness to the phone is bull, Samsung manage it, I added it to my lg g4 with a sticker that's barely thicker than two sheets of paper!.... Apple could do it easily, also the so called issues with it is simply from rubbish chargers and people trying to use normal -1-2 watt phone charger plugs with them.... You need a 3-4watt plug ideally and it works flawlessly everytime.... It's a lack of knowledge and surprisingly companies not shipping high enough watt chargers with wireless pads

Ps: had to get that off my chest haha. I get people have dropped best part of a grand on a phone that's missing tons of features... I do I get it...... But the amount of comments I'm reading like 'I love cables' or 'I don't mind plugging in!' is silly now.... I now it's natural to justify the spend of that much money but Apple could add wireless sooooooo easy for pennys, the techs fine, I use it daily.

You should write a strongly worded letter to Tim about how he's unnecessarily holding back tech for future models ;)

Apparently he does reply to some emails. Let us know how you get on :p

I do think its bad faith to make it more difficult for your most loyal customers to get the iPhone. A lot of the reports showed that even at launch there was 0 stock for them, were as I someone who buys sim free had no issue.

You can see what they were thinking, that customers on the upgrade programme are going to upgrade anyway so you may as well restrict your launch stock for new purchasers.

Not saying I agree with that of course - typical greedy Apple logic.

What's the chances of me picking up a 7+ in London this week? Reckon stores will die down in the weekend or on Monday?
Apple has issued a statement to a number of press outlets including TechCrunch, indicating that all models of the iPhone 7 Plus as well as the Jet Black iPhone 7 have completely sold out ahead of Friday's launch and will not be available at Apple's retail stores. The announcement will help those who had hoped to purchase one of those models on a walk-in basis on Friday plan appropriately.

Not sure if this is applicable to the uk but I think its a fair guess that you'd be lucky to pick one up this weekend.

Considering this preorder has been 4x higher than the 6 and 6s then stock will be low for a while. When I got my 6 I bought it in December after the launch and it wasn't possible to get one from a network and Apple still had very little stock.

Doesn't 1334x750 and 1920x1080 LED screens seem rather poor to you guys?
And still no wireless charging.

I can't see any pixels on my 6S plus, it looks clearer and sharper than many Android handsets I've seen and used with higher res.

Wireless charging on my old Nexus was naff. Made the phone hot and took aeons.

Battery lasts between a day and a half and two days, so I just charge it overnight.

It's also been confirmed that there's no walk in stock for any model for launch weekend, possibly even the first week
Genuinely interested to know, what about the idiots people that the press have reported who have been queuing since the beginning of the week?

/edit - Ahh, wait. That's not the UK, although I'd expect shortages everywhere. Are there any queues over here?

Apple stores have been telling people in store and on live chat that unless you have one reserved that you won't be able to get one. So if people are queuing, that would be hilarious :D

DPD delivery for me as well :D, have had UPS deliver every iPhone since the 3GS and I hate them.

Will finally have a courier that gives me a proper time slot.

I prefer UPS where I live, the depot is about a mile from my house. The DPD one is at the other side of Gloucester and the staff in there are rude as you like.

I'm pretty lucky with couriers where I am in the Neath area as most couriers are in or around the Swansea area for me.

I'm quite lucky and all my drivers are nice no matter the courier :)

Out of all the couriers though DPD is my favourite due to the excellent tracking they have.
