Just been looking at some reviews on these. Some people have said they are a bit smaller than the actual screen?

They can't curve around. This has been the case since the iPhone 6. I will change it to the curved ones when they come out. The curved ones have the glass screen but with a plastic surround that curves.

Glass screen protectors are a lot easier to apply, don't get bubbles, feel nicer and a lot more resistant to scratches. If you want to avoid dust just apply the screen protector in the bathroom after having a shower. There will be no dust in the air.

So the reason you're both not getting a new phone is just because it doesn't look any different to a previous model, is that right? I'm not trolling you for a reaction, genuinely interested to know. For me, the fact that the form factor is identical to the previous model is a big plus point as good specific model mounting cradles for the car are expensive!

My reasoning is that I felt my iPhone 6s Plus is quicker. The only think that would interest me is waterproof but I wouldn't change just for that. I can wait till next version. Camera I don't care about

I can't see why anyone would upgrade from a 6S to be honest. Even if I had a 6 I'd think twice. Unless you specifically NEED one of the new features, such as water resistance maybe, there's just no point.

I consider myself a tech enthusiast, and I'm willing to fork out a bit of cash for a phone over the course of a year to have the latest and greatest for a device as use multiple times a day, staying on the bleeding edge and all that.

I still like to be excited about the upgrade though, and nothing really excites me about these new phones apart from the camera on the 7+.

I can rationalise part if it by saying, well, I've never bought insurance in the past and got away with not damaging my phone - but what if it drop it in the loo in the next 12 months are get water damage from rain? It would be worth the cost of a replacement to just upgrade now. But that's not an exciting reason to upgrade.

For me, if they changed for form factor of the 7+ I'd be chomping at the bit to get one. But I hesitate as I do feel it's still far too big a form factor in the shell they currently have it in.

I've got a 7 jet black on order but am very close to cancelling. iOS 10 on my 6 has given me some new features and I can't get over the disappointment that the 7 looks like my 6. I will give it a few more days thought but it's looking like I might be skipping this gen of iPhone and waiting for the next version to arrive.

Yeah, I'm loving my 6S on iOS10. Feel really good. As much as I want to get the latest model, not sure if it's worth it.

Hmm, the one I tried ages back ended up wrecked due to trapped dust which put me right off them. Sort of tempted to try again as I despise plastic protectors but don't want to write off another wedge if it gets wrecked during application again. Does 3D Touch work properly through them?

The 7 is massively faster than my 6 in operation and finally getting 3D Touch, better Touch ID and a much better front and back camera is worth it to me.

If I had a 6S however I wouldn't have upgraded.

I just wouldn't bother these days, the glass has improved massively over the last 10 years.

Request your PAC and you'll get a call back. They were offering to reduce the upfront costs by 95% for some and given the stock issues, they are keen to capture as many orders as possible.

Also, I have the £65.99 tariff discounted down to £29.49 for 40GB data and an extra 10GB for having EE BB. My additional sharing sims are £10 each so haggle!!!

The 40GB £65.99 is no more. It's £70.99.

So your paying £29.49 for a £65.99 (now £70.99) tariff. How much did you pay upfront for the phone?

I'm really happy with my 6 and don't have any issues with it's speed or performance. If my contract wasn't up I wouldn't even be considering changing my phone. As for my car mount it wouldn't be an issue.

If Apple had changed the form factor i.e. Screen size, bezels, actual look of the phone etc I would not hesitate to make a change but at the moment it seems like I would be just buying a faster version of what I already have. Every iPhone I have had since my 3GS has had a change in form factor which I have enjoyed.

My preorder is still in place but I feel as though the initial hype of the keynote has worn off and I am now left with second thoughts on the 7 hence why I am more than likely going to cancel and stick with my 6 for a bit longer.

Not sure if this is an iOS 10 issue or a 7-specific one (coming from a 5S so 6/6S may have been the same) but I'm finding swiping on lock screen notifications to be a real pain.

Such as when an iMessage arrives and I want to swipe the notification then unlock to go straight to it. Seems I have to try several times and have to really 'flick' it fast or it just bounces back.

Think I'm kinda regretting buying the 7 Plus now also, just saw the youtube video on comparing the 7 vs S7 camera and the 7's camera didn't exactly knockout the S7.

Also I've seen the screen of the S6 before and AMOLED blows iPhone screens away hence why Apple are moving to AMOLED next year.

Edit: Even though above I will no doubt stick to iPhone 7 Plus XD

When I get the screen protector I will let you know. It may have a hole around the "button" like previous ones.

The S7 camera is very good, so to say the 7 is on par is a good thing.

Sorry I didn't upgrade.

I upgraded my tariff recently and bought the phone outright as I still have a year to run on this current contract. The loyalty on my EE account brings the new tariff down to £29.49.

Looks like the telephoto lens does not have ois and to be honest looks little pointless as the quality when using it isn't very good.

Make your own minds up :)
