Had the car since Thursday and already been pulled over twice, within a space of 30min. Pulling off from a friends house, i seen the police car spin around in the road behind me, then pulled me over for 15 minutes to give me a lecture in having no insurance. Then MIB got back to them to tell them I have insurance but it hasn't updated on the database.

Then just driving down the M1 a traffic car come flying up behind me and pulled me over, ended up being the blonde bird from police interceptors, she was stunning with a cracking smile. She let me go straight away after explaining to her that I have just been pulled over and showing her my cover note. She also liked the car :)

First time i have ever been pulled over. Looks like I will have to get use to this over the next 3-4 days. Just a bit worried about the tyres, they are on the line of legal and the new CS3's don't come till tomorrow.

My story of the day :)

As they walk back to the car, keep the window open and say very loudly 'thank god they didn't look in the boot' and drive off.

Good. I am glad that you were stopped.

It's a shame that you were stopped wrongly, and because the system is slow. But it's good to see how prevalent stops for being uninsured are, so hopefully uninsured cars are stopped before they are involved in accidents and cause real problems.

Agreed. When I put my private plate on, I kept all my paperwork and the old plates with me for a few days because I half expected to be pulled over because of discrepancies with ANPR / MID etc.

Knew it was her! Was dying to ask her. She seemed happy and cheery unlike the 2 miserable mutts I had before.

I have a feeling I will get pulled quite a few more times.

Guessing you couldn't hold out for that ST then? :p To be fair, it wouldn't have been much better, I got pulled twice in a fortnight and had the cops slam their 4x4 into reverse and chuck it backwards to check my details, they didn't look happy when they realised it was all legit :)

To be honest with you mate, I was getting sick of the owners of these FST's i was going to look at, they was all plebs. First 1 lied through his teeth about everything to do with the car and the last one i was about to go view ended up having Ford finance on it, they wasn't happy with me wanting to settle it,instead of them. They actually thought I would give them the money and let them deal with it.

But yes I know what you mean when the officers look disappointed, like they wanted my car to be uninsured. I shown them the cover note and emails and the cut off from the V5 that was sent off but I don't think they believed me till MIB got back to them. Suppose they come pass a lot of things like this when it turns out the driver is lying and uninsured.

i have had shady friends buy shady cars, only to be pulled on the first three nights in a row due to the car allegedly being involved in something to do with drugs in the past

that sounds fun

An Astra VXR was always going to attract attention from the 5-0 in fairness.

I never did in two years of ownership with an after market exhaust too. I thought this in the Monaro too as it's a rare car and I look like a small boy who has robbed daddies car. Still I never ever attracted police attention.

I never got pulled in my supra or cupra or 350z. Strange really.

It's funny how some people always get pulled over, yet some in equally flash or expensive cars never do. Does your driving style lead to the police needing to pull you over?
Having had ITR, vRS, s2000 and driven Subarus, Evos, Elises and so on in places like Manchester and Chester and never having been stopped, it makes me think it's the people not the cars that get pulled over.

This of course always needs an exception to prove :P

Sorry? Can't hear you over the police sirens.

Being small helps power to weight Ratio. \o/ Useful in traffic light Grand Prix against Saxos.
