So, BMW picked up the M5 this morning for what I thought was a relatively simple engine oil & brake fluid change. It turns out that after plugging it in, it also wants spark plugs, diff and gearbox oil. Fair enough, it needs what it needs.

I get a phone call late morning to inform me they have broken a coil pack and could they keep it overnight as they can't get a new one until tomorrow. Of course you can, I say, just lend me a car so I can get home tonight and back to work again tomorrow.

Early afternoon, a 120d turns up :(

Anyway, no real point to this thread, just sharing todays experience

At least you got a courtesy car.

Unless of course, they secretly kept it so they could show off to their mates tonight and then charge you for parts that didn't need changing :p

They actually admitted that they broke a coil pack..? I take it they will be replacing it free.?

I remember getting a knackered mk3 Fiesta as a courtesy car from a main dealer once. I believe there are now charities set up to comfort the victims of such atrocities these days.

 Get a grip

Worst "I've got a M5" thread ever.

Worst "Have a go at an OP for the sake of it" more like!

Get a grip yourself pal, if you were any kind of regular here, you'd already know Mr Kittens has an M5! (lucky git that he undoubtedly is!!) :p
