Well done Biffa

By a hairs breadth.. and only due to Sir BaBa having a run of slower units, or perhaps him installing 16 core beasties in his rig

One good dump from him tonight and I will be back behind, rubbing the afterglow of his nuclear fuel dump from my eye :D

I hear tell he has a quad 8 core beastie in the wings for just an eventuality! But n'er fear me hearties I shall endeavour to make an honest man of him as we tussle amongst the sticky DNA strands of our endless quest for enlightenment...

Or sumthn.. :o

Well done Mr Biffa i must stop slacking;)

No bulldozer here but the quad 8 core you speak of is nearing completion:eek:

Having trouble with the coolers on the h8qgl-if+, two of the processor sockets are together and the 12cm fans wont fit:mad:

It may have 32 cores but they are slow so it should give about 170k on 6903's but its not just a folding rig it will probably be doing CPDN and skynet as well as folding.

Damn good show Mr Biffa sah and congrats to Mr BaBa - duelling pistols non? :)

Just glad the pair of you are on the same team :D

Ah so a quad 8 core magnycours then?

Yeah the layout on that board looks bonkers, thats the problem with the Supermicro's they seem really setup for 1U/2U rackmount chassis with low profile sinks with multiple 60mm ear-bleeder fans.
