I couldn't see a thread for this game and stumbled across the demo earlier today - has anyone else given it a go??

Strong Satisfactory vibes but very atmospheric and a nice premise - looks very promising and am tempted to pull the trigger even at only 10% off!

I played the demo and it was okay, I'll likely have another look at it in a year or so when it's had some further development.

Damnit, bloody EA. I've added it to my wishlist along with all the other games I keep getting excited about and then noticing they are also still in development.
I know you can filter early access out from the store but it's a good way to see stuff that is being made etc.

I played the demo and quite enjoyed it once I got past some of the confusing issues.

It seems like a nice game to just relax with and do a bit of busywork. Certainly not interested in early access though.

COmpleted the demo, this feels like a mix between Raft and Factorio, it has a lot of promise to be honest. But I think I'd enjoy this more if it were coop and people have asked for that. I will likely wait to buy however, right now people are complaining that the early access game crashes a lot (when the demo ran fine) which sounds very frustrating. I'd prefer to save a first playthrough with friends I played Raft with. That's a really good game with what looks like a similar premise but less high tech. One to keep an eye on for sure.

I played the demo then grabbed the game.

Couple of points - performance can be iffy around larger buildings with many entities and these are the only times I've had crashes (around Lazarus area).

However I enjoy it, casual gaming at the moment so it suits me to have a looter/builder type game and I love the little boat !

This game could be VERY good if it keeps developing.. I wouldn't recommend buying it unless you are super casual at the moment though.

For me EA is a mixed bag. For five years I was quite involved with WRSR, until it released. I have over 3.3k hours playing, so excellent vfm and pleasure. However, when it did finally release, with all the content the devs got into it, I have played it the least. Kinda burned out, with playing that much. So, all that has come together to make it a more complete experience, I have not taken advantage of that content.
I am leaning to be more inclined to keep EA games on my wishlist and follow, and wait. Or, if pushed, and I feel like supporting the devs with the money, try and not get too much invested into it to end up as I did previously.

This one, is now on my wishlist.

Exactly. I've just never understood the appeal of playing what is basically a paid demo of something, getting burnt out on it and then when it finally releases not wanting to play it.
I do sometimes buy early access games when they are on offer but they do not get played until they at least hit 1.0

I enjoyed the experience very much with WRSR, I am still part of the internal test team and have had a lot in the way of involvement and contact with the dev team. BUT, and a big but for me.........the burn out has been ever so real and very much compromised the complete package that the game does offer. I noted the bigger content updates over the five years until release, and they did add a lot, they combined to form the release version the game that has great depth for those it appeals to, but the spark of interest is simply not there.

A lesson for me to consider before jumping in again.

Certain exceptions would have been the likes of 7D2D, that was in EA forever. Rising World, still in EA, first released in 2014.

EA, for some, seems perpetual.

As a kickstarter backer for Star Citizen, I don't believe this. It'll end when they run out of money :D

Back to the Last Caretaker, Lazarus facility is a bit of a lag zone but others seem fine. I am worried the game has little to do though, needs more content but that's almost standard for EA games at this point. Back later, not now.
