I don't think anyone looks like Papa Lazarou tbh... there wasn't a single character he called dave, I mean there was the scene where he came to the door of a random woman's house but the whole dave thing was just a trait of his IIRC it was based on some landlord the writers/stars of the show had

quite a few years ago I went to a fancy dress party where someone had dressed up as Papa Lazarou, I do wonder if anyone would today though

Yeah I dunno I can't see any kind of likeness to the appearance of the character or the actor out of dress - there is a really vague likeness to the woman at the door but when someone asked about it they said he looks like the guy.

EDIT: I brought it up a couple of week ago on break at work as some people were talking about the return - I noticed some gave me a bit of an odd look but I had no idea what Papa Lazarou looked like heh.

Caught up with episode 2 last night, didn't have the same punch as the first episode and some of the subplots fell flat, hopefully episode 3 (watching tonight) will finish it off nicely.

I had no idea this was back on. Watched all 3 episodes back to back on iplayer and thought it was fantastic. Hasn't lost any of that dark humour. That scene with Mr Chinnery and the Hedgehog

Thought the last episode was a let down but hopefully with the last line regarding visiting again we hopefully get some more episodes later down the line.

I enjoyed it rather a lot and think that for the most part, it's a strong return to form. I very much hope we get to see more episodes one day.

I watched all 3 and thought they were brilliant, made my xmas with all the other garbage that has been on.

Good watch, hasn't lost any of its appeal and still dark as ****.

I tried to explain some scenes (including the olives) to my GF but without the humour - she just thought what on earth am I watching and what's wrong with me.
