Sounds like a load of whiney, spineless emo crap.

sounds like you need to hold back on your sterotypes.

'spineless emo crap' way to be constructive. Got nothing decent (positive or negative) to say then just shut the hell up.

Meow.

It is though; a compilation CD for androdynous types with floppy hair, pyramid-studded belts, side lip piercings and a 'woe is me' outlook on life.

that looks like one incredibly emo album. is it mixes or re-recordings? if it's mixes, i wouldn't listen to it with penski's

They are mixes and even with all the emo slating it is worth listening to it, you never know you may like it!

They appear to be those 'hilarious' mashups; you know the thing...some spod in his bedroom thinks it would be a good idea to put the vocals to a generic 'urban' track over a generic 'rock' track then posts it on SA in a OMGZUGUYZ!!! CHECK THIS OUT! LOL! moment.

This album is produced by some of the people that produced the albums of the original song. So obviously yea 'some kid' read up before making assumptions.

might check it out, i like dashboard, alk3, coheed and saves the day...if it's in that vein i'll give it a listen. a little bit of emo makes the world go round!

well said! :D

I would rather staple my tongue to the floor than listen to that record.

Even nu-metal was better than emo

the problem with emo music is the stigma attached to it. you must wear drainpipes, have stupid hair, mope around all day, wear really dark eye makeup, be, generally, an offence to the eyes. i guess i'm just fortunate that i can listen to music for the music without worrying about the clothes that i wear, or way that i choose to dress.

luckily, you invalidate any opinion you may express on music in the signature attached to it. i would expect an opinion similar to yours, and equally as eloquent from no-one other than a steve vai/dimebag darrell fan.

not to say that i'm an emo fan, by any stretch of the imagination, but i can't stand when people tar an entire genre of music based upon its fans, or one song they may have heard.

there is no "better" in music, so why even bother posting saying something is terrible, when you're making yourself look stupid because you don't understand the concept of subjectivity. if you want to live your life with a closed mind, that's fine - but there's no need to inflict your stupid opinions on the rest of us.

might i recommend that you go and staple your tongue to the floor until you learn to understand and accept that not everyone is going to share your opinion. thank god.

i posted this thread to try and let people know about some (imo) good music and it has just turned into some kind of emo bashing thread because apparently that is the 'cool' thing to do. I enjoy the music for the music and i can say that i am not your stereotypical emo and if you are not going to be opened mind then neither am i.

You can just go back to your hovels in your clapped out nova, burberry, tight nike tn cap, one trouser tucked into your sock while 'banging out some trance beats'

(excluding sic ofcourse who had something interesting to say)

This may be my emo side coming out, but i just had a listen to this and its amazing!! I love mash ups :D

Thanks for the heads up nate :)
