US: The Librarians

glad you posted this, as i would not have given it a 2nd look going by the name of the program

Turned off after about 5 minutes, seemed a really low budget American cheese adventure.

The three movies the series is based on were on Syfy on Sunday, watched the first one and it was pretty poor but I'll give the other two a go before starting on the series.

It's for kids right? It has that cringeworthy naivety of something made in 80ies. Those "the first thing that I uttered is always right" shortcuts, the "no time to explain, it's magic" plot delivery and that strong hope that someone will drown half the cast in the nearest toilet before the next episode starts.

the music did my nut in too

I thought it was really cheesy and almost like Scooby Doo's Gang. but i think it was meant to be. I still enjoyed it. Will see how this develops. Rebecca/Mystique still looks very good :D

Not so much with the hair pulled back and the suit but in that green dress? Yes please!

It's really a kids program but kind of enjoyable. Might continue to watch.

will give it a wild chance given not much decent shows left any more !

Although gotta admit intruders and kingdom got my interest :)

Watched all 3 and yeah its a warehouse 13 clone.... as in pretty much like for like even down to the cheesy comedy. They have changed things about so this way they can save 80% CGI budget and work out of a book shop and instead of showing travelling or a plane a door which opens to where they need lol

Still unsure why the main character left within the actual pilot think he does come back later but never seen that happen before!

The actor is contractually obligated to do 10 more episodes of "Falling Skies" in its final season across next few months, his character was just a link between movie series and TV series set in the same "librarian" universe, but obviously the door is left open for Wyle to return...

Interesting, also had no idea a a tv movie done let alone 3 of them... perhaps it was warehouse 13 that copied librarian :)

Bump. Season 2 began this week and is shaping up to be a lot of fun, especially with the main protagonist. I love a show that doesn't take itself so seriously.

Yea, stupid fun of a show that knows essentially it is crap.

I only find the auzzie guy to be intensely annoying with his bad acting.
