Where I don't know where.
You know, the one you get with a motherboard. What's it for? I sometimes see electrical/data cables wraped through them, so I assume it's some kind of noise-reduction thing.

But what is it and how do I make use of it?

If you have one then wrap the cables through it and place it at the bottom of your case if the cabling stretches that far, if you don't have it or it doesn't stretch that far then don't worry about it too much.

Its called a ferrite supressor. And thats exactly what it is for. I however, have never used one. Too much hassle. Plus, all my cables go under the mobo anyway.

Bascially its a Induction Coil, and thats the ones that can give you Coil Whine if the Copper is not wrapped tight enough.

I assume you mean the ones that look like a Green Polo Mint with Copper wire wrapped round them :p.

I know the ones he meant now, ususally some cables for case etc are looped through them.
