The local elections....,.

Well just did my civic duty in the 2 local elections...... and surprised myself by voting for the blue team in both of them..... still not voting for them in the general tho

Out of a choice of 3. the independent only turned up to 50% of the meetings he was meant to attend and had very little online presence. I didn't get any flier from them for what they stand for.... The labour one I could not even find in a Google and no flier from them....
and the conservatives all had a well thought out list of interests and aims and actually turned up and appears at least to make some sort of an effort in local issues.
When it comes to local elections I think it is far more important that they take in interest in local issues rather than what colour knickers they wear... however do these guys really expect people to vote for them without putting in any effort at all? It is so easy to get a web page set up or even a Facebook profile, even if they don't want to spend a load of postage on fliers.

I always voted Lib Dem locally as they fought for their constituents against endless insane planning proposals by the Tory run council.

Labour didn't even field any candidates this time in my area, where they always came third after the Lib Dems.

I just laugh at the junk mail with fake graphs.
There's only one of the candidates I've ever seen doing anything to help people, so it's an easy choice.

I get it must be disheartening if you have little chance of winning. but if you are gonna be involved then they need to at least try.... you ain't gonna win over anyone if you don't at least have an online profile

Have to laugh at the local Tory fliers. Lots of promises to increase spending, reduce council tax bill, zero mention of where the money is coming from. If they do knock on my door, they will get an earful about lying over br*xit and never getting my vote again.

There's arrogance too though, some parties just believe they will win without even trying, and unfortunately are quite often proved right.

I did go along to some local politics stuff once to see what it was all about - it was just a bunch of jerks trying to one-up each other rather than actually achieving anything.

It’s all crap anyway, none of them are in it for anything other than themselves.

And the boundless are skewed so certain people win. I live in the northern most point of our town yet my MP is for the south if the town.

I live in an area of the town but my local councillor is for a different area, whereas the local for the named area I live in covers a different area.

I have never been massively invested in politics but at the moment my motivation is an all time low. like most other things in this country it just seems broken..... I don't trust the flier's but at the same time if they don't even try I am not gonna support them. if I had too I would just not vote
