Listening to a podcast with JT Mollner as a guest and he mentioned they're making this movie.

Probably my favourite Stephen King book, I know it won't live up to the images in my head, but please let it be good.

I cannot envisage this at all as a movie unless they just use the concept. The book is too bleak and filled with ludic dreams to be easy to bring to film.

Though I thought the same of The Road by Cormac McCarthy and that worked as a movie.

I really hope they do this one justice, it's been decades since I read the novella but the memory is still so strong that I've never needed to re-read it. They are making a PROPER version of the Running Man too with Edgar Wright directing, so looking forward to that too.

As others have said.. please be good and do it justice..

I can actually see this being a great movie if done well.. i.e. 100% story and nothing else..
