Hey guys,

Recently got the Logitech Z5500 bad boys for xmas and I must say they are awsome. Only thing is, when I opened the box there was a caution notice saying keep the Sub Atleast 2 feet away from PC's, TV's etc. Only problem is the only place I can put the sub is about a foot from the pc, AND a foot from the 360 (which also has a hard drive). What I wanna know is, is there anyone had problems with sub's killing hard drives? Is that caution rating just an approximate measurement because I really cant put the sub elsewhere. Also how will I know if its slowly killing my pc's hard drives and destroying my 360 gamesaves? :(

I have had it about a foot away form my pc, it did not cause any damage, the magnet aint really that big in the z5500 anyway.

Why cant you have it near more than a foot away, is your room really small?

Inbetween both machines is the only space left around the outside of my room where the cables will all stretch to. Its really the only place it can go.

I would't worry about it much, had mine 50cm below my Tower and below my Ext HD for the past year or so. Haven't had a problem at all :)

I agree, they are awesome speakers

I've got the Sub about 2 and half foot from my 360's HDD, and the front left sat on top of my 360, not had a single problem.

In their other application, I had the Sub about 2 foot from the TV in the lounge and didn't have a problem either.

i had a 12" sub next to my pc for over a year, and that cause no problems at all. the magnet on it is about as big as the sub in the z5500's lol. i wouldnt worry about it:)

Woah that thing must be heavy, so its got a 10" wide magnet on it lol? lool it must be as heavy as the whole z5500 set is when its in its box lol.
