Been through a few meal delivery options in the past, and was looking at other options recently and realised what a range there is available....thought it might be useful to share recommendations.
We used Hello Fresh for a couple years. It was fine, but loads of plastic waste and recipes are a bit bland, probably from the German palate.
Gousto
Gousto we've used for a while here now and the meals are generally excellent, a step up from Hello Fresh. Only main annoyance is that if your payment bounces (joint account ran too low), you don't just miss one delivery, you get bumped for several weeks.....which has led us to check different options. The price has been creeping up, which is to be expected.
Planty.uk
Currently trying Planty. Rather than being ingredients delivered, you get full frozen ready meals. Minimal packaging, and most of it cardboard....definitely a plus over Gousto. Had the first couple of meals last night and they were really good. Vegan, as you can guess from the name. We do actually like cooking though, so this won't be a long term choice. Might place the odd order and keep em in the freezer though as they are light years ahead of any supermarket ready meals.
Worth noting that the meals are for 1 person.....definitely a good option for singles!
