The Mighty Eighth will be a VR-first project (but also playable with no VR enabled) in which you will be able to play with 9 other friends (or AI crew) as you work together to survive the war and accomplish your missions.

Drop those bombs on the right spot, guide your crew through long drawn out day, or the dark, moonless nights, keep your airplane in touch with the rest of the squadron and HQ as you monitor radios and communications. Defend your Flying Fortress by keeping those enemy fighters away from you and your squadron mates. Pilot or co-pilot this beast under a massive amount of stress – and enemy fire, but don’t drop out of formation or you’re a sitting duck.

The new Mighty Eighth is not just a game. It’s an experience from a different time where young men grew faster than they should and saw things no man should see. And YOU will be put right in the middle of the action.

Could be epic :)

Incredible, cant wait. One of my favourite Microprose games back on the Amiga. Now only if they do the same with M1 Tank Platoon and Night Of The Sky.

Really hope the new studio does a good job of it, that's my only concern.

BTW, put this in the Microprose thread for all to see just incase they miss it.

Lets see how many want to be tail gunner, getting roasted and watching the rest of mission on first engagement :) with nothing else to do :)

These things work incredibly well in VR, it would have been called for if they'd omitted it. Star Trek bridge crew is the obvious one, but IronWolf VR really nails it both in it's format and unbelievable sense of presence. Going down with the sub really isn't a pleasant experience, that adds to the tension and an observative attention to duty only VR can provide.

I hope they look at what's working well with both those games and apply it to B17, potentially it could be very good.

I said in the other thread that they should make it multiplayer VR, it's the perfect game for it and should give it a wider appeal with the social aspect.
