So many big names missing out on this years World Cup either through not qualifying or injury. Could be Ibra's and Ribery's last chance as well. :(

Players with slight injuries that might impact their World cup.

Luis Suarez, Uruguay: Possibly the best striker in Europe during the 2013-14 campaign, Suarez underwent knee surgery to repair the meniscus in his left knee. His recovery is on track, but Uruguay's chances of advancing deep in Brazil take a huge hit if he does not show the form he did with Liverpool this season.

Diego Costa, Spain: Costa has been bothered by a hamstring injury for several weeks, but he was still included on Spain's 23-man squad last week. He reportedly passed a physical for Chelsea, which could lead to optimism for La Roja. With Fernando Torres and David Villa as the other striking options for Spain, Costa needs to be healthy.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal: Speaking of Ronaldo, the global star has been bothered by a thigh injury and left knee tendonitis. The Portuguese FA announced on Saturday that he was back in training, and that's huge for his country. He's capable of carrying Portugal deep into the World Cup, and there is a huge dropoff if he's not in top form. Pepe and Raul Meireles are also dealing with fitness issues. Exciting attacker Bruma (knee) and fullback Silvio (broken leg) are definitely out.

Who are you going to miss watching the most?

Who are you going to miss watching the most?

I think there is no "could" about it given their respective ages. Come the next WC Ibra and Ribery will be 36 & 35 respectively. Granted there are both important players for their respective countries, but at that age and with talent coming through all the time, there will be no room for them. That is if they are even still actively playing at that point.

It is a real shame though the number of players who are missing out based on injuries caused by the number of game they have to play now.

Theres only really Ibrahimovic that is a star there.

He has all the star qualities a footballer should have, he is an entirely excellent footballer, he is good looking, consistent, a winner, hard as nails and completely mental to boot.

The others, meh.

Doesn't really bother me with Ibra, doesn't have the team around him to do much anyway. inb4 someone brings up the hammering we took off them in a FRIENDLY.

Who cares, pub football compared to champions league. The big names get to play still on the biggest stage and international football aint it.
