Hey guys. I've been fiddling about with Dropbox and I'm quite impressed at how well it integrates with both my PC and mobile.

I thought it would be a good idea to create a shared mobile resources folder for things like wallpapers, ringtones, mods etc.

If you would like to be added to the folder then put your email address down here and I'll invite. :)

Could be cool to have a cloud resource to pull files from.

i think this could be a great idea, i use dropbox on pc/laptop and now phone and yes it works very well.

iirc that's not true, shared folders take space away from everyone who the folder is shared to. So if you have 1GB in a folder shared with 10 users each of the users will have 1GB taken from their dropox space.

I think it's a good idea but I don't think that dropbox is the ideal tool as it's sharing policies are a bit too restrictive and require everyone to have dropbox.

On the shared wallpaper front I think that should be done through picasa, everyone can log into it with their google accounts and everyone can browse it from their phone in web albums and share all the images publicly...

best way to do it is to upload your wallpapers and tag them with androidwallpaper then everyone can contribute and browse as they wish :)

To get the same thing on the phone just go to picasa web albums and search "androidwallpaper" with quotes and everything tagged as such will show up :)

Just make sure that if you make a folder for android stuff to make it public.
