The most impressive game on 1 disk (360)

Games that take up an entire BD-ROM are few and far between, considering the large range of games that are multi-platform it will be around the ~8-16Gb mark for each game install.

I would say around 20 games as a worst case scenario on a 500Gb HDD is not that unreasonable.

multi platform games perhaps (though not all of them, L.A noir is 22gb), not exclusives though. killzone 3 is ~40gb for example.

Killzone 3 is 22GB the 3D goodnes pushes it up too 40GB, the largest PS3 game is GOW3 closely followed by FFXIII which way in around the 42GB mark. You will find most of the exclusives as mentioned are generally huge.

MS are pretty clever with compression though. Take Oblivion, the 360 version was 5.5 GB and the blu ray disc image was about 25GB due to how slow the PS3 drive was.

Well I don't know much about making games but I would imagine that if you made an Xbox 360 game and the first version you came up with was 1gb too big for a single disc, you would want to, and be under pressure to fit it on 1 disc. Most of the time you probably wouldn't lose anything in doing so. If you were making a game for the PS3 and the first version you made was 30gb, what would you do? 1 disc is 1 disc.

I still think Crackdown is the best game on 360. Call me stupid but it's just soooo good :D

I have to agree with davewhite04, Red dead for me was amazingly long (in an epic way) and detailed. It did make you feel you were in the wild west, loved the traveling on horse back. It was GTA but in the wild west. But the fact they crammed all that gunplay, missions, collectables, side missions, horses, outfits, guns ect, ect all in one disk was absolutely mind blowing. For me its one of those games I will never get rid off.

When you get a game like that, you know you have gotten value for money.

And the same can be said for Just cause 2. I have played the story and finished it, yet I have only discovered 51% of the Island that's nearly half of that world I aint shot or blew up yet lol, value for money indeed :D

I would but it's against the rules and you might suspend me :(:p

I know what you mean though, I think Crackdown is a real underrated gem, which made what they called the 'sequel' a complete kick in the teeth :(

Fallout3 is the clear winner!

RDR I found to be just like all other recent Rockstar games it was boring & could not hold my attention its a big empty game world full of nothing but bland/boring gameplay/characters. This is why they could fit it on a single disc there is literally nothing of depth underneath the game world..............

I remember at the time being surprised Tales of Vesperia was on one disc, due to all the cutscenes, voice clips etc, not to mention the game was about 50+ hours long.
