Hi guys

my 2nd PC is used by the wife to play sims 2

The specs are as follows:

Socket 754 3000 Sempron
1GB PC3200 Generic RAM
Asrock mobo
And onboard GFX (whihc uses 128MB RAM)

Sims2 does go sluggish at times, would that be the CPU or my onboard GFX bottlenecking it?

I would hazard a guess at the onboard GPU.

Yup, you need a graphics card

Looking at the system requirements it seems it doesn't need an awful lot to run 'ok'. If I were you i'd get a graphics card in there (cheap as possible if shes used to onboard)
