The need for speed.

Currently I'm packing:

ASUS M2N4 SLi (average mobo)
AMD Athlon 64 4200+ x2 Dual-core (AM2)
ASUS 8800 GTS 640MB
2gb 800mhz RAM (low-end)
XP SP2

I'm looking for a significant speed boost specifically when running 3d applications (games).

I'm willing to spend upto £200.

The ideas I've had are:
1. Second 8800 GTS to run in SLi
2. Athlon 64 6000+ x2 Dual-core
3. An extra 2gb of high-end 800mhz RAM

I'm leaning towards the processor as its cheap and apparently quite a step-up from the 4200+. The second 8800 would be nice but its expensive and apparently, not properly utilised by most applications as of yet?

I'm a bit green when it comes to hardware so go easy on me. Also this is probably posted in the wrong place...?

4. Invest in a better/good cooler like this & overclock the socks out of that 4200+ or
5. Go Intel, e.g. pick up this & that. Modest overclock will see the C2D chip beat the 6000+
