I had a hell of a time getting this under 5Mb (Imgur limit)

Why not use Minus? They support 20MB gifs.

Or gfycat which seemingly has no limit.

because (an you'll notice above) someone got a 80Mb gif removed!... and I get p'eed off waiting for the mahoosive gifs to load on my phone!!

5Mb is a nice size!
