The New Cases Gallery

ouch a case with a window and no cable management. you'll need to make holes to get the effect you want. Depends if there's any space at all between the motherboard tray and the side panel.

@vitaminjayz, cable ties, cable tie bases or P clips are your friend when it comes to cable management mate.

Route as many PSU cables as possible behind the mobo tray and have them coming through holes to connect onto the mobo, some cases these days have holes cut in the mobo tray for this purpose, however there are some that require you to cut your own holes, but it makes your system look so much better when the cables are routed neatly instead of looking like a crows nest.

I am still now 100% happy with mine, but I'll be redoing it all again in the next couple of months when I strip my rig down to fit motherboard waterblocks.

@Laney, thanks for the kind words mate, I've still got a lot of things to do yet, so watch this space!!! :D

Meh..guess I don't like it anymore.. :D

LoL!

There is a reason why it's one of the most popular cases, and that's because it is brilliant for watercooling.

That was my reason for buying it anyway, and I am sure everyone else would agree with me too.

And not to mention it looks fantastic once you get the internals powder coated.

Got loan of a DSLR until Sat, so been messing about with it doing PC pics.

(Fav one)

Will do a few more tomorrow when I have natural light :)

That sideshot looks awesome! What specific parts would be necessary for one to achieve that effect (but in blue/white)? I really like the lighten up orange against the dark.

Cheers. I take it by "specific parts" you mean for the tubing colours or something else?

The tubing is just xspc orange tubing with white coils and white tubing with orange coils. I may get rid of the UV and just get some white cold cathodes as the UV was good with what I had before but white would probably look better now.

Ordered a CM-690 Pure and a OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w from OcUK this week. Which is a bargain if your after a new PSU.

Cue a few hours of swearing and one messy living room.

Forgot to take a pic of it empty, just psu fans+fan control and optical drive.

The ugly side of the cable management, still not happy with it.
At some point i will need to make a couple of cuts and get a few extension cables for pci-e and 24-pin.

Finished shot, still a bit messy but a big improvement over the old Gigabyte 3D Aurora.

Sat ontop of empty case for now. Next upgrade is a quad core cpu and a bigger desk.

Overall im very pleased core temps are a few C down, only niggle is a couple of parts of the case are vibrating. Will buy some more anti-vibration fan mounts soon and bust out the blu-tac till its silent!

The guts of my Antec P183 case and my first real attempt to cable manage.

The unclutted bit.

The messy side. The P183 makes cable management a joy!

I have this case too and Dieing to fit an LED side fan, but I have a large CPU cooler similar to yours that seems to be in the way! I can only get the side of the case on if I have the cooler exhausting out the top...
Did you have any problems?
I've concidered snapping off the 'clips' for the fan (I assume the fixings would hold it well enough), is that a good idea?

Cheers,
Howie.
