The New Cases Gallery

My power supply is at the bottom of my case and I was wondering which is the best way to have the fan facing up or facing down, looking at everyone else's it looks like they all have the fan facing downwards( I have mine facing upwards)
Please can you also tell me why this is the best way. Thanks

Having the fan facing downwards means that it pulls in cool air from outside the case passes it over its components and then expels the air out of the vent at the back. Having it facing upwards means that the fan will be pulling air in from inside the case (which will normally be quite warm due to being close to the GPU) passing that over the components and then out the back.

Neither is technically right or wrong, but facing downwards is the preferred method.

Not exactly new, but I hadn't posted in here yet since getting the case in Sep :o

Yeah i will do at some point, or use that braided extension to go behind the motherboard or similar...

One day i will. :o

Use the braided extension V R, i got one for my lian li a70f, was a godsend tbh as the case is quite tall and the corsair 8 pin cable was to short.

You can make out the extension cable on the right, have it clamped to the mobo tray to keep it in place.

Thanks Alex. :)

Setter, yeah thats what i wanna do, i thought the Corsair cable was a bit on the short side too....

Might make it my mission to actually do it this weekend...... :p

It's actually not too heavy, I think a KG? Due to the alu fins (just copper pipes and base). At least compared to my old rig with the ThermalTake Big Typhoon, I'm sure that was heavier :). Tell you what this cools a heck of a lot better it though it seems 8).

Now the case on the other hand!!! About 14kgs before you start adding stuff :). Thick steel haha...

Cheers
