is that meant to be like an update to the 2007wfp? i was wondering when or if they would update it but you kind of hoped they wouldnt put a tn panel in it

Yeah, it can't really be called an update to the 2007WFP since the 2009 has a TN panel. Maybe Dell don't think there's much market for 20" premium screens anymore since everyone is moving to 24".

Should be cheap anyway.

I'm looking for a nice 20" for a friend, £150-£200 budget, is this DELL monitor pretty good or is there better for the same money?

why did they stop using the sips panel. It was what made the 2007wfp so much more of a better monitor than any other on the market

cost and availability probably. using TN Film means they can compete on price with other common 20" models available. Makes sense, and is more than adequate for most casual users anyway.

i suppose there is that reason. It would be a shame tho as the 2007wfp is a cracking screen. I Just sold mine to fund a 24" dell and am thinking twice because of the pannels in the other screens dell sell
