The new facebook. Cack.

Looks like we got more changes on their way?!

Yay now it wont be the odd person posting songs they like but everyone posting every song they listen to!

Its founder Mark Zuckerberg also unveiled a dramatic redesign to the website, replacing user profiles with an audio visual timeline of their life

Why is the chat feature STILL NOT fixed yet???

Shows a list of people I hardly ever speak to who aren't even online!

Pathetic.

Oh well back to my Greasemonkey work around I go.

As described above, for the changes. This is also what is supposedly due to come...

About 10 or so music partners (Spotify, Rhapsody, etc.) have built music into Facebook. You'll see what your friends are listening to on the right ticker, and you can listen with them. Video companies like Hulu have done the same thing. You can watch a video on Netflix / Hulu and it'll show up in the right ticker and your friends can watch with you - i.e. see the same screen while you see it and you can (presumably) chat with each other while you watch. The whole idea is to ramp up "content discovery" and really rethink the music & video content industry. This is what the rumored "sharing explosion" has been about.

The "Like" feature is being expanded to "Read," "Watch," "Listen," "Eat," -- in other words, the one-click option Like is being "opened up" so that developers can create actions. Sounds like Facebook will have some standard ones they've created (Read, Watch & Listen), but I think he's implying that app developers will be able to create their own words as well. And, as you can guess, this will work across the web as well. It won't just be on Facebook.

Oh scoop! My facebook just updated!

the f8 was interesting though, I read the comment "like myspace" and couldn't agree more, don't over-complicate stuff, thats a very bad route.

Although the new timeline profile layout does look kinda of nice based on what they are showing us now. I'm up for it, some people are gonna flip though.

I just "installed" the new timeline profile, it's gonna take some getting used to I'll say. I like a lot of it, I also hate some of it.

It's interesting to see my entire history of facebook, to be honest I didn't remember I joined in 2007 or that in 2009 I made 64 new friends. There are some funky features here, I'll say.

I've literally got to scroll down the page for 5 minutes before I get to the newest stories.

This is actually horrendous, like really bad, who thinks of these ideas?!?!

Mine shows "top stories", then underneath every other update from the day in a totally random order. It's horrendous.

I just have the side bar hidden, it was way too confusing as hell. I'm much happier without it.

I'm getting used to my new profile page now, Timeline, I think I like it.

From the home page? How tell meeeeeeeeeeeeee. :)

For some reason I still don't have the ticker on my home page. Today I logged in and found the "top story" was one person saying "roll on home time". Something that wasn't a top story was a friend of mine giving birth! I've now created a friend list and put all my friends into it. I can then essentially view everything chronologically again

I love the timeline feature, easily the best thing facebook has done for a while :)

The rest is still a load of arse though.
