The new McFly single - excellent

Just heard the new McFly single and its an old cover of a Jellyfish song.
Now the last time I mentioned Jellyfish on these forums was concerning some of Gordy R's songs.
Jellyfish were an American band who wrote superb crafted pop songs and if you can find their stuff then give it a listen.
Now I don't know what to listen to tomorrow - the new Rush or Jellyfish.

This isn't really about McFly but the band Jellyfish.
if you like decently crafted pop songs then go and listen to them.

I have to admit, McFly did a Radio One live acoustic cover of 'I predict a Riot' and that was excellent.

They're a band who don't get as much good press as they should, imo.

Well I took the advice of listening to Jellyfish (they have an unofficial MySpace page under jellyfishband for anyone who doesn't want to commit to buying their songs just yet) and they seem pretty decent from what I've listened to. I'm not going to listen to McFly though, just as a point of principle, mind.

They are actually pretty talented. It's just a shame that they're forced to write and play the sort of rubbish loved by 13/14 year old teenage girls

and not what they want to write.

I'm pretty sure they'd be more at home with a much more punk style than rocky/poppy.

Not quite as bad as you but yeah I was a fan of Busted and do like McFly's music

When Busted 1st album came out I'm pretty sure I knew all the lyrics for all the songs in the album

that's nothing to be ashamed of - I really liked Busted, that's why I saw them! They were good, fun summer music and I plan to listen to them this summer too!!
