Didn't know there was a new MSN and after a virus forced me format me comp and do a clean install ive just had to download this new msn!

sooooooooooo, how do you get contacts to chnage from display names to email address names, not got a clue who any one is on my msn now unless i put curser over them to see what there email is

The e-mail option seems to have gone.

But why would you know your friends by their email addresses rather than their names? :confused:

Because often people don't have there names in the name, they have something like "lol last night was bare laffz init tish! :P"
 
That would depend on who's on your friends list :) My brother's is terrible - more smileys than letters!

If you right-click a contact or press F2, you can assign your own nickname.

Never there name, always some random crap.

Like mine: Screw me if im wrong, but you want to kiss me dont you?

anyway is there any way i can get the old windows live back? prefer the older layout a lot more

This is why I use the "nickname" option to rename everyone in my contacts list. It doesn't matter what they call themselves, they still show as Jon, Derek, Chris, etc etc
