Morning all ive just purchased the new Rel T Zero sub that's newly released few months ago with new Drivers MK2 from Richer Sounds which a friend got me with Manager Discount for £300. Now i have the Sub in our bedroom under our PC desk. Now would that be ok or would i get better peformance putting it in the corner. Would rather it be under the desk even though REL recommend it in the corner of the room which i can do but at the min don't have a long enough Sub cable for that Distance from Sub to my Ruarks its 3 questions really

1. What settings should i rough guide to set the Sub up with volume and Crossover.Should volume be higher then crossover?
2. What track gives off plenty off bass right through the track to set it up
3. What Sub cable of decent quality thats not going to break the bank. At the min using AudioQuest sub cable which is fine with the current position with Sub under the Desk

You tweak the volume and crossover until it sounds good for you. Another way of doing it is to look at your speakers' lower frequency response and adjust the crossover to fill where the rolloff occurs or just above it. The volume of the sub itself depends on the volume of your speakers. I can't really give a definitive answer of what to set it to. Play it by ear.
