I have never looked at how much the CPU is used. I will do a quick bench to see how many and how much the cores are being used.

3 cores used and highest any of them got was 31%, so I doubt it as well.

Something's up with my card i think.

It keeps dropping from boost clocks down to stock (950>850) and whenever it does, the load drops down to ~64%

Alright, done another run at 1100/1300 on the gpu (everything else the same)

hopefully that score is looking a little better.
 
Definitely better, though I have a niggling feeling that it's still a bit lower than it should be... Maybe it's just me :)
Would be good to have the results from the old thread for reference...

That looks ok for me on a single 7950. Matt gets almost double that iirc with higher clocks.
 
Matt got 55fps with a single 7950 at 1250/1750 I believe fwiw.

Then again, looking at the difference between mine and Something Else's 7970 score with roughly the same clockspeed difference, I guess it adds up.
