It's official. The new Tomb Raider will not be a XB1 exclusive for long, the PC version looks set for release early 2016!

Here

Couldn't find any threads covering this, but if there is any I apologise in advance.

As long as there isn't all those QTEs, I might give it a try. Hopefully they have learned that they just ruin the flow of the game.

I got kind of used to them as they were so easy once you got used to them, plus a quick load give you an instant retry which just about guaranteed success. I absolutely love the last one, can't blimming wait for this!

Which makes them totally pointless and a pain in the rear that just interrupts the game flow - might as well just be done with it and add a button that goes through it as a cutscene (the game play experience will be exactly the same minus some pointless tedium).

Can't really see it very well from my perspective due to not being able to see when I'm pressing keys, etc. but this was one of my experiences:

Time after time it didn't work when pressing [enter] regardless of timing and eventually when it did go through I just mashed the keyboard and it somehow worked... the developer really should get a clue.

Looked a bit dodgy, laggy even. That section was tough but not really that challenging once you worked out the enemy patterns.

IIRC was recorded with FRAPs or something that hit framerate when recording before I switched to Shadowplay. Didn't find that section overly hard just the QTEs were dodgy at the best of times and added nothing to the gameplay.

The QTE allowed you to defeat the enemy in a way that would otherwise be impossible. The QTEs with the wolves at the beginning annoyed me, so much so that I give up on this game twice before I got hooked the 3rd time :)

I've just completed the old one (literally, just, it was around 30 mins ago) - I absolutely loved it. Managed to get 83% completion without backtracking at all which I assume is somewhat decent.

I found it to be the right balance between adventuring, combat and puzzles, although I'd like a couple more of the latter. So, I can't wait for the new one.

I think I got 73% :( but hopefully I'll be venturing back to the Island in preparation for the new one come Christmas time, should have a fair amount of backlog games out of the way by then :)

On an island, bit of scavenging, lots of shooting.
One of several games along similar linmes that all came out around the same time. I didn't realy keep track, TBH.

On the contrary, I'm a big fan of Tomb Raider and have played all the main releases, as well as a couple of the 'other platforms' ones. Some of them I have played several times and I'm in the middle of my fourth or fifth playthrough of TR:Underworld right now... In fact, I only ended up with a full-on gaming PC because my Netbook stuttered when running Legend.
After my considerable disappointment with the last one, I had been hoping for very positive impressions on this... just finding none so far.

Being a third person game(tomb raider) makes a lot of difference... and then there's a list after that. Far Cry 3 is slightly more in depth. Tomb raider relies on a lot of plat forming elements too, proper plat forming and climbing.
