The next big MMO

A lot of people that try rift and the addon can't put it down. You should test out Defiance too if you like fps/mmo.

Most MMO's are incredibly similar and repetitive with a different skin, Some introduce ideas that change it a little but on the base its the same. i liked many and played over 12 with my first paid for being Final fantasy 11, and perfect world being one of my favorite free to play's.

Elder scrolls will be good i think but to be honest, to keep people interested in it they are going to have one hell of a job updating content for it. I understand the concepts behind it but with so many people running around the same map , you wont experience the same immersive style of play, if they were servers with 30-60 people on one map then maybe, but if were talking about 1000-2000 people on one map, its going to lose the feel of exploration, because every time you think oh where does this path lead, there's going to be someone there already messing about, it will no longer feel undiscovered or special.

I'm going to play it as i have always played the elder scrolls and i have faith that they will make an excellent job of it as always, but they are stepping into an unknown area and i feel that might be there downfall.

I think it's pretty hard to predict what the next 'big' MMORPG will be. You are however not so spoiled for choice these days when it comes to good ones! :D
I've been playing EVE happily for 6 years and will continue to do so, in the past I've enjoyed LOTRO, WoW & Aion (still play occasionally).

The next MMO I'm excited about is Star Citizen.

Made for PC gamers, by a huge PC gamer Chris Roberts....it reminds me of Eve, but with more control over your ship and slightly less complexity.

It runs on Frostbite 3 Engine and looks amazing.

The whole thing has been funded by the gaming community, so no publishers to ruin it.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Titan is by Blizzard, but without details its hard to get excited about it.

:D

Allegedly...

So what is Titan, according to this post? Several bullet points sketch a picture of an MMO that is based on Earth, is big into historical mythology (including Greek, Roman, and Viking myths), and involves "a lot" of time travel. The leaks says that Titan will play from a third-person view, has a new game engine, could also be headed to consoles, and has a strong e-sports emphasis. The leak purports that over 150 developers are working on Titan, including Jay Wilson. Apparently we'll be seeing a teaser of Titan at BlizzCon before it goes into friends and family testing in early 2014.
