The next case... Some helo needed

Hey,

So I currently have a Fractal Design Define XL. It is a great case, loads of room and options and nice and quiet. The only problem is the case is big by any standards and heavy.

I have looked all over the place and really like the Corsair 540, but not sure about the lack of 3.5" dirve bays, holes in the bottom of the case or the supposed high noise, especially after being used to my current quiet case.

What I'm looking for is something smller and lighter that has:
  • 8 PCI slots (I have 2x 3slot cards) ideally with some space below the 8th slot
  • Space for 4x 3.5" internal drives (+1 2.5" but that can go anywhere)
  • Space for a Noctua NH-D14

Any suggestions for cases would be appreciated, or ways I can make the 540 work for me too.
 
if you like what you have what about a define r4\?

oh and with the 540, you could get two drive adapters and put drives in there, plus the two normalones. and you can get 4 ssds in there as well plus the 4 3.5 inch drves.



that sounded a bit confusing, do you get what I meant about the 540?

Not sure what you mean on the 540, do you have a link to the adapter? I assume you don't mean 3.5 to 2.5"

The P280 looks like it could be spot on! Time to read reviews.

I found that there are just so many options it's really hard to pick one that is right.
