the next step from windows movie maker!

Don't laugh.. Been using windows movie maker to stich my footage of the kids up into a movie at the end of each year.

I am now thinking i would like to make a more pro job.

What is the next logical application to do this. Something that is easy(ish) to learn ?

If you have Mac, then you can't go wrong with iMovie, and then Final Cut Pro.
For PC/Mac there is Premiere Pro / After Effects, Sony Vegas Pro or even Adobe Photoshop.

You can sign up to Adobe Creative Cloud on a single month basis to produce your movie. The creative cloud comes in different flavours e.g Photoshop/Lightroom for roughly £9 a month or for the full suite £70.

Most of these video editing tools is easy to get started.
