So the wife is away for 2 weeks...this can only mean one thing (besides the chants of freedooooom!) :D

Dom Medium Peppeproni Passion/Deluxe. Was gorgeous, reminded me of a recent trip to Rome, almost.

True. Good italian pizza rarely has as many toppings on in the first place. Its all about the dough and fresh tomatos over there. Finding a good meat pizza over there was a bloomin right pain though.
 
From when I was in Rome the natives seemed to have a starter, pasta or pizza dish, then a meat dish and dessert. I don't know how they could eat it all! That's probably why you don't see too much meat on pasta or pizza as there's an actual meat course meant to come after. I like Dominoes and I like authentic Italian pizza, you can like both but they are quite different from one another.

Went to GBK for lunch since I had a free milkshake to claim on my rewards app. I got the Major Tom burger, but after I'd ordered they came to my table and told me they were out of the aged beef. They asked if I was okay having it with regular beef instead and offered me a free side dish as an apology. I had already ordered fries, so I didn't really want a second side, so I politely declined, telling them not to worry. Later the manager came out and gave me a free milkshake voucher. Nice service :)

And I got a slice of chocolate orange cookie crumb cake from Patisserie Valerie to take home with me. Look at the shine on that glaze! Its beautiful! :D
 
Smoked cheese is something else. I'm so addicted to the stuff! Going to grab me a pizza tonight since the missus is still out :o
 
/me BURSTS INTO TEARS

My first ever pizza delivery and both pizzas got squashed to hell. My Perpeproni Passion/Deluxe fared better than the pizza I bought for the parents, which was half demolished. I'll complain later I guess.
