I've gone right off rice recently with a curry, id rather a big naan and popodums to soak up sauce. If I could just have a portion of pilau rice from the takeaway id wolf it down, whenever I do it, its just meh.

I swear sometimes coming into this thread feels like opening the fridge door time and time again.
I find chinese easier to do recreate at home, my egg fried rice is pretty close to a takeaway. Tbh, ethnic food in general is like that. Us brits fail dismally when it comes to foreign food compared to the takeaways.
