400g Ribeye from Sainsbury’s. Not bad! Cooked rare (5 mins a side!!), probably would turn down the pan heat next time for such a thick chunk of meat.

Sainsburys dauphinois (lazy, mine are better, these are easier), griddled asparagus, aubergine and pepper. Microwave corn. Peppercorn sauce.

Washed down with a 2019 La Rosine Rhone

As @aVdub said - pan hotter than the sun creating a pretty impressive char. Very middle was rare, edges were more like medium rare, even with 10 mins total in the pan. Think the cut would have suited being in the oven then seared (or the other way, whatever!) or a lower pan heat. I’m improving at judging steak cooking by feel, but don’t often get a cut as thick! Much to reflect on. Quite impressed with the quality from Sainsbury’s overall, supermarket steak can be a bit variable.
