Would be interesting to see a poll.. of how people like their sausages in sandwiches.. I personally can't have whole round sausages in a sandwich, I always have to half them lengthways, so they have a flat bottom..
I do the same thing. Using whole sausages makes it unwieldy and a balancing act to stop them falling out

Depends on the girth and how much oozes out when you chomp down on it

If the bread receptacle is well lubed with sauce there is a high risk of losing your sausage

Dynamic risk assessment is required during prep and building of the "sandwich" but I'm (usually) in the "half it"camp unless they are skinny chipolatas or similar
