The Observer (new horror from layers of fear dev)

Indeed I saw that news too! I had that in early access but never finished it once it came out! This looks leaps and bounds above that game! Cyberpunk setting is interesting! Seems to be becoming more common place! Excite!

Steam reviews seem good but mixed.

Usual moaning about no 21:9 support, bugs me. It's clearly not a common thing to support yet so why buy the screen and expect support. But I can understand it being frustrating

Few optimisation complaints too, usual stuff

Positive reviews mention the setting and atmosphere

If there's no 21:9 support then I'm not touching it. If I wanted to game at 1080p / 16:9 / 30fps then I'd have bought a PS4.

I do understand this point of view too, we have Pcs to have that performance but at the moment, from outside looking in, 21:9 just isn't a thing yet.

Obviously some games are doing that bit extra to support it but maybe it's not worth the time or whatever to smaller devs to implement. I can't speak to what it takes to support it mind.

It just seems every new game comes out and on launch day the 21:9 complaints come in :D. Is it something that is growing in popularity on the consumer side? I'd say people are more interested in 4k? All flies by me tbh

Most games I've bought since owning a 21:9 screen have supported the resolution, and even older titles support it. I'm not sure how difficult it can be to implement if it's been native for games like the Batman franchises and titles from 10 years ago like Crysis, BioShock etc..

I'm not too clued up on it but I imagine if that many games do it then, surely all can at this point. Apologies for my ignorance on the topic :D

I think that's more straight up horror, this doesn't seem to be going for that from what I've seen?

If outlast 2 is anything like the original then anything is better surely :D
